I have received the application and recommendation forms forwarded by Prof. Speegle on Sep. 7th, 1994. Since my GRE and TOEFL scores didnt arrive at that time, I didnt contact with you until now. Thank you for your sending the necessary material in advance.
As a matter of fact, I am deeply interested in the graduate program in your department. I intend to pursue my advanced study and research work on the topics of Database Design and Computation Theory. I have excellent records in my undergraduate years and obtained many honors. Particularly, mathematics is my forte. In addition, I took TOEFL in Oct, 1994 with a score of 653 (61/68/67). My GRE General score is also relatively high (total 2220; V 720 97%IQ 790 96%/A 710 90%).
Yet financial problems exist. Because I have no means to support myself in the U.S., my chance of admission is absolutely dependent on your financial assistant. Can you give me some detailed information on this issue? Is it advisable for me to apply? With the impending deadline, I wish
