  1. Recently with the development /advance/progress of science and technology, the phenomenon of pets has aroused wide concern.

  2. Nowadays, it is undeniable that pets has almost become the biggest concern of the present-day world.

比如:a part of citizens cling to the idea that keeping pets is beneficial to their daily life.

  1. first, keeping pets can reduce the loneliness of many people ,especially the old and the children, who have to stay alone.

  2. in addition, the pets are lovely, they can make you feel delighted when you go back to home.

比如:although the former is reasonable to some people, there are still these who claim that having animals at home is unacceptable.

比如:they are of the opinion that keeping pets should be banned.

  1. On one hand, they will give rise to serious pollution, which exists not only at their onwers’family but also the public places.

  2. On the other hand. Not only will they be responsible for some injuries to the innocent children but also lead to some terrible noise which can be horrible at night.

Personally, I insist that keeping pets is a two-edged weapon which can be used for good or evil.

I intend to stand on the side that pets is our friends, without them. We would witness a gloomy future.

In conclusion , it is high time we poured attention into the phenomenon—feeding pets.

Nowadays, there exists an increasingly serious problem. Fake advertisements have become a concern of the public.

Although there are countless illustrations arround us,the following one is sufficient. Not only on TV but also on newspapers can we find dozens of bad ads which are cheating the consumers.

Fake advertisements definitely have led to some consequences.

First and foremost, individuals may buy some bad food and drink. It is really unfavorable for their health. Besides, some old people like to buy medicine,Sometimes, which are harmful. Last but not least, the enterprise of fake advertisements can earn much illegal money. It will cause serious problems in government and the society.

To alleviate this problem, we are hoped to take effective measures.

On the one hand, the government must control a multitude of advertisement in media, and find out fake advertisement in them. On the other hand, people ought to learn how to identify fake advertisement. So fake enterprises cannot earn profits from individuals anymore.

Only in this way can we have a harmonious life.

  A Fairy Tale in Fall

roaming on the path among the trees, i threw my sentiment into the blue sky, which landed on the ground of my alma mater, and brought me back to the day three years ago.

that was a day in fall, that was a fall in my heart. shatters swung in the air, just like golden butterflies dancing in the breeze. the sunset cast her afterglow on the ground, as well as on her dazzling pink face. after a long silence, i looked into her clear eyes, whispered to her that i wondered whether i had a position in her future. she thought it for a while, walking back and forth. i noticed she trembled lips several times and let out no words. finally, she turned to me and flashed a wry smile:"sorfy, i feel that distance makes beauty, lets just be good friends." i could never forget that sentence, just like a bolt from the blue. it hit me like a thousand knives stabbing all over my body. i couldnt breathe, i couldnt think, at least not about anything but the pain. gazing at her receding figure, i couldnt stop tears wetting my pale cheeks. the tale ended with the girls disappearance from my sight.

now fall comes again. i left myself nothing but the broken memories.

  Recreation

  1.娱乐的重要性;

it is impossible to keep in good health unless we have sufficient recreation. the mind, too, needs rest to keep alert and vigorous. there is a lot of truth in the old saying, "all work and no play makes jack a dull boy."

there are many games which we can play after our work is done. but it's always advisable for people to remember that persons who sit much should take up sports or a kind of recreation that requires muscular eercise. those who spend most of their time in the open air and have constant muscular labor, however, should adopt reading or some other quiet forms of recreation that will give them some physical rest.

cycling is said to be a capital means of recreation.but some people foolishly ehaust themselves by ecessive eertion on the bike. the same may be said in regard to football. tennis is a great form of recreation. fishing requires much patience, but there is the risk of catching cold by prolonged eposure. a good brisk walk is one of the finest forms of eercise. for persons engaged in outdoor labor, chess playing is an ecellent change.

  Three Days to See

suppose you set your mind to work on the problem of how you would use your own eyes if you had three more days to see. if with the oncoming darkness of the third night you knew that the sun would never rise for you again, how would you spend those three precious intervening days? what would you most want to let your gaze rest upon?

i, naturally, should want most to see the things which have become dear to me through my years of darkness. you, too, would want to let your eyes rest long on the things that have become dear to you so that you could take the memory of them with you in the night that loomed before you.

i should want to see the people whose kindness and gentleness and companionship have made my life worth living. first i should like to gaze long upon the face of my teacher, mrs. anne sullivan macy, who came to me when i was a child and opened the outer world to me. i should want not merely the outline of her face, so that i could cherish it in my memory, but to study that face and find in it the living evidence of the sympathetic tenderness and patience with which she accomplished the difficult task of my education. i should like to see in her eyes that strength of character which has enabled her to stand firm in the face of difficulties, and that compassion for all humanity which she has revealed to me so often.

oh, the things that i should see if i had the power of sight for just three days!

the art of living is to know when to hold fast and when to let go. for life is a parado: it enjoins us to cling to its many gifts even while it ordains their eventual relinquishment. the rabbis of old put it this way: a man comes to this world with his fist clenched, but when he dies, his hand is open.

surely we ought to hold fast to life, for it is wondrous, and full of a beauty that breaks through every pore of god s own earth. we know that this is so, but all too often we recognize this truth only in our backward glance when we remember what was and then suddenly realize that it is no more.

we remember a beauty that faded, a love that waned. but we remember with far greater pain that we did not see that beauty when it flowered, that we failed to respond with love when it was tendered.

a recent eperience re-taught me this truth. i was hospitalized following a severe heart attack and had been in intensive care for several days. it was not a pleasant place.

one morning, i had to have some additional tests. the required machines were located in a building at the opposite end of the hospital, so i had to be wheeled across the courtyard on a gurney.

as we emerged from our unit, the sunlight hit me. thats all there was to my eperience. just the light of the sun. and yet how beautiful it was -- how warming, how sparking, how brilliant! i looked to see whether anyone else relished the suns golden glow, but everyone was hurrying to and fro, most with eyes fied on the ground. then i remembered how often i, too, had been indifferent to the grandeur of each day, too preoccupied with petty and sometimes even mean concerns to respond from that eperience is really as commonplace as was the eperience itself: lifes gifts are precious -- but we are too heedless of them.

here then is the first pole of life s paradoical demands on us : never too busy for the wonder and the awe of life. be reverent before each dawning day. embrace each hour. seize each golden minute.

hold fast to life...but not so fast that you cannot let go. this is the second side of life s coin, the opposite pole of its parado: we must accept our losses, this is not an easy lesson to learn, especially when we are young and think that the world is ours to command, that whatever we desire with the full force of our passionate being can, nay, will, be ours. but then life moves along to confront us with realities, and slowly but surely this truth dawns upon us.

at every stage of life we sustain losses -- and grow in the process. we begin our independent lives only when we emerge from the womb and lose its protective shelter. we enter a progression of schools, then we leave our mothers and fathers and our childhood homes. we get married and have children and then have to let them go. we confront the death of our parents and our spouses. we face the gradual or not so gradual waning of our strength. and ultimately, as the parable of the open and closed hand suggests, we must confront the inevitability of our own demise, losing ourselves as it were, all that we were or dreamed to be.

  Choosing Friends

everybody has his friends. some people like to choose friends who are different from themselves while others prefer those who are similar to themselves. each of the choices has its advantages.

when people have friends similar to themselves, they and their friends can chat, play, and do things together harmoniously. the result is that they all feel relaed and can truly enjoy each others company.

when a guy has friends different from himself, the advantage he has is that he can benefit from the contacts with different people. his friends may be different from him in character, education, occupation, social status, or political and religious beliefs. from those friends, he can learn a lot of things that he has never eperienced himself and he can also enjoy being with thera when they know each other well.

comparing the advantages of both cases, i think that it would be better for me to have both kinds of friends …… some who are similar to me and some who are different from me. in this way, i can have the best of both worlds. for instance, when i want to rela or when i am too tired to be careful about my speech and manner, i can stay with those friends who are like me. but, when i feel like it, it is also possible for me to stay with those who are different from me and learn something new.
