一、什么是SSAT
SSAT，全称Secondary School Admission Test，中文名称为美国中学入学考试，适用于美国、加拿大私立中学的入学，是申请者所必须具备的一个考试成绩。该考试主要测试学生的数学、语文以及阅读理解能力，考察考生的逻辑思维和发展潜力。SSAT考试成绩有效期为两年。
SSAT考试创建于1957年，是由位于美国新泽西州普林斯顿市的中学入学考试委员会SSATB（Secondary School Admission Test Board）命题的考试。从SSAT开办至今，在全球已设有750多个考场，每年约有60000名考生报考。中国的北京、上海、重庆、武汉、广州、南京、台湾、香港均设有考点。
二、SSAT的必要性
