(1)申请条件
学历：高三学生、大学在读学生;
语言成绩：无需TOEFL 或IELTS语言, 高考成绩单( 二本录取分数之上)。
(2)申请材料
本科成绩单：中英文的各一份，并须经过原校的认可签注。
英文水平证明：一般应具有托福或ETS的成绩。寄送成绩，有些大学如甚至不一定要托福成绩，大陆的四、六级证书也可接受。不过一个好的英语成绩显然更有竞争力。
GRE成绩：随着竞争的激烈，香港的大学现在又要求GRE成绩，与托福一样，只需复印件即可。这两项可以为我们节省25美元。
申请表格：一般来说，只要发一个电子邮件给招生办公室或者系里，对方便会寄来有关表格。香港的大学会要求你说明自己的研究意向，当然只要一个很宽泛的范围即可，无须非常具体。材料一般是免费的，如果觉得麻烦，甚至可以从网上下载。
研究计划：(RESEARCH PROPOSAL)是纯学术的，无须加入诸如个人经历、感情这些东西。它要求申请者要有一个明确的研究方案并对此有较好的掌握。这个计划必须是非常具体的，不能太宽泛。研究计划一般包括以下几点：
研究对象(IC)，即你想要解决的问题;研究此问题的意义;前人的研究状况即遗留的问题;你的研究方法(METHODOLOGY);参考文献(BIBLIOGRAPHY)：这一点很重要，但往往会被忽视。
一般来说，建议你先与某位教授联系，确定研究的题目、方法等，取得教授的同意后，在递交正式的计划。当然，如果你能引起教授的注意，请他为你提意见甚至给你修改，那么成功的几率就很大了。
推荐信：香港的大学一般只要两封推荐信，但必须是学术领域中的人，其他人则不被接受。推荐信是一、两份表格，而不是洋洋洒洒的一大篇。其内容是对你学术才能的评价。此外还要求对你的研究计划做出评价和建议，这一点也不应忽视。
此外就剩下申请费(APPLICATTON FEE)了。一般一两百港币，一般人均能承受。
学费方面不算太贵，学费平均年约五万港元!但有一些会贵一点，如医科、工程……但平均五万元该差不多了!至于生活则丰俭由人，住宿舍、食饭堂、少娱乐、多看书、专心学、勤温习……可能月费不到四千元，所以的算是便宜。生活费普通来说，每月约四千多，一年大约连书簿也要五万多……即一年约花费十一万左右。
2、研究生
(1)本科院校背景
拥有一个大家都耳熟能详的院校背景就如虎添翼一般。比如说“211”或者“985“，拥有这样学术背景的学生在商科专业上的优势特别明显。香港科技大学的“经济学”专业，在官网上对往年录取学生的学校背景做了个总结。从中我们可以看出，大多数拿到录取通知单的学生学校背景多为重点大学。
(2)GPA成绩
意愿申请香港硕士留学的专业，一般建议学生的成绩在85分以上，方能具备最基本的竞争能力，特别是针对普通大学的学生。绩点分可谓是越高越好。
(3)雅思成绩
这个是针对商科申请的专业。对于部分专业，如香港中文大学的“金融学”专业和香港浸会大学的“应用会计与金融”，GMAT 是除了语言成绩之外，强制要考的科目。但是对于其他的商科专业虽非强制科目，但是如果在有优异的语言成绩基础上，有好的GMAT成绩对申请也是大有裨益的。
(4)实践经验
港校授课方式多与英联邦的授课方式类似。所以港校比较喜欢有海外交流背景的学生，而天天读死书，死读书的学生就有些不易了。
(5)发表的学术论文
正如同第四点所言，港校授课方式与英联邦授课方式相似，因此，对于有发表过学术论文的学生边角青睐。

文书需要遵循的逻辑结构主要包含三个核心，在写文书的时候需要反复问自己这三个问题：
① 我自己是谁？（Who are you）我是什么样的学术背景？我有什么样的经历？
② 为什么你要选择这个学校？（Why this school）为什么你要选择这个项目？甚至可以更具体到，为什么你想选择这个城市？比如在我自己申请的过程中经常会被问到：“你为什么要选择新加坡和香港？”其实我的理由很简单，仅仅因为我是一个非常东方化的人，不管是我是一个中国胃，还是我非常喜欢中国的文化我都不想离开东方，所以考虑到整个东方的金融中心就是新加坡和香港，所以这两个就是我唯二的选择。所以同学们在申请的过程中也一定要注意学校、专业和城市这些因素，一定要好好问问自己，不能因为是别人要去这里所以我也要去这里这样是不行的，如果你自己都没有办法说服自己的话，肯定也是不能说服学校的。
③ 最后一个要经常问自己的问题就是，为什么学校要选择你呢？（Why should the school choose you）其实在我们申请的过程中，大家一定要明白一个点，我们是如此的独特而又普通，普通的意思是指我们的绩点、本科学校、语言成绩、GMAT或GRE成绩这些硬性条件，和你具备这些相同硬性条件的同学是千千万万的；可是你又是如此的独特，因为即使大家都具备一样的硬件条件，但是我们每个人的条件、经历、想法和性格其实又都是不一样的，这就是文书存在的意义，同学们就要在文书中抓到自己的特点，在文书中反应出来，这样才是能够让你outstanding的地方。
段落结构有很多的形式：
① 第一个是开头（Introduction）引出自己的经历和背景，有一种说法叫开门见山例如：“我今天想申请贵校的**专业，我是谁，我今年多大。”这是一个比较典型的开门见山的方式，但对方是审核文书的老师我们就要考虑一下，老师一般每天要看几百封这样的PS看到这种就觉得很乏味，因为你已经都把这些材料寄给我了，那你无非就是想申请我们学校的，你有什么必要再在PS里写这个，如果开头是这种模式的话老师肯定不是很想继续往下看，所以要引起老师的注意是非常重要的一个点，要如何抓住老师的眼球。
我比较推荐故事类的开头，例如我之前辅导过一个想要申请金融工程的同学，首先你要想一想金融工程是一个什么样的专业，金融工程有一个非常大的部分就是风险管理（risk management），当时我和那位同学一起发掘为什么他要去学习金融工程的风险管理（risk management）这个方向，那位同学说其实是因为他的父亲在他刚上大学的时候开始接触期货，结果亏了很多钱，然后他在大二的时候就学到了关于期货的这门课程，在期货中有一个很重要的概念就是套期保值，就是说你可以通过同时购买期货和现货进行风险的对冲，同学就明白还可以通过这种方式避免亏损，他说如果当时他父亲有这方面的知识或者他有这方面的知识，这些钱是完全可以避免被亏损掉的，所以在那之后他就意识到了风险管理（risk management）的重要性并且他也对此非常的感兴趣。这样的故事就可以直接写在开头，故事的真诚性会让老师觉得这个学生很独特，但是在写故事的开头时，一定要注意简洁不能故事写的没完，毕竟我们是一个PS注意要简洁明了、言之有物。
② 接下来就是个人学术背景（Summary of personal academic background），这个是最简洁明了也是发挥余地最有限的地方，我一般建议同学们在写这个部分的时候，直接把整个成绩单放在旁边，首先把最核心的课程勾出来，然后再把分数最高的课程勾出来，需要放在PS里面的部分就是既核心分数又很高的课程，一般有同学会在PS里面提到自己的绩点（GPA）是多少，在这里我建议是如果你的GPA非常高，你一定要写上去，不仅要写GPA还要写你在专业中的排名第几，但如果你的GPA一般，这时候可写可不写，因为这不是一个加分项，如果你觉得你的GPA是一个弱项甚至有点难看，其实可以在PS里面写一写原因，这个原因可以主要突出个人成长方面：虽然我的GPA整体来看有点差，但是我总体是一个向上的过程，具体到我大一刚到学校还没有开始认真学习，但是经过大二大三我的成绩是越来越好的，可以写出这样一个积极向上和GPA越来越好的趋势。
③ 接着就是实习和工作经历（Internship），这个一般最多会写两段实习经历进去，而且最好是有一个递进的过程，比如我的实习变的越来越重要或是去了越来越核心的岗位。
④ 通常在结束实习经历之后就会承接职业规划（Career Path），因为我自己的学术背景和实习经历导致我想要从事什么样的职业，你的职业规划不能是天马行空的想法，这样显然是说不通的，那么就一定要承接你的实习经历和学术背景去进行这样的职业规划。
⑤ 职业规划结束之后就是选择该项目的原因（Why you；Career Plan），原因一定要结合你学术的目标和职业规划使得你可以学好这个项目，而这个项目又可以进一步对你的职业规划有帮助，这样才是一个比较合理的逻辑。
⑥ 结尾（Ending）就是表决心，比如：如果我被录取的话我会如何，大家可以自由发挥，但一定不能太长两句到三句就好。
文书的语言表达和格式要求：
① 第一个语言表达是要书面化的，不能有Long time no see、Chinglish的表达，也不能使用口语短语，例如：What’s up等，在文章里就会非常奇怪。
② 第二个是不能使用任何缩写，很多同学意识不到但这一点是非常重要的，考过雅思托福的同学在写作中都会知道这个点，比如I’m、What’s、Can’t都不可以出现的。
③ 第三点是一定要尽可能少的使用重复词汇，有同学想表达我很开心得到了这份实习、能从事这个职业我很开心、如果能拿到这个offer我很开心，这里的开心如果全部用了“Happy”是不行的，还可以使用 It is my pleasure.等。尤其是形容词，不要使用超过两次，一定要增加用词的高级感和多样性，除了词汇的积累之外，还可以在写完文书之后进行进一步的修改或者得到一些帮助再对词汇进行修改。
④ 最后就是段落问题：段落顶格是不需要缩进的，这个和中文是不一样的，每段之间最好空一行，行距不宜过宽，而且每个段落不要过短也不要过长，字体使用Times New Roman、Calibri、Arial这三个字体，不要使用这三个字体之外的字体，也不要使用花体字，这三个字体是最常见于英文场合和职场的英文字体。

I was thus chosen to represent either my school or my city in a variety of provincial and national contests of academic skills, in which I won numerous prizes. This impressive academic record put me on academic acceleration several times. That not only enabled me to finish my primary and secondary education in eight instead of the usual twelve years but also sent me at 14 to a privileged class for the gifted at the Chinese University of Science and Technology, a major cradle of the country’s scientific and technological talents.

My solid education paid off in my ability to take on a variety of responsibilities in China’s burgeoning software industry. After I obtained my Master’s Degree in Engineering in 1994, I first took up a job with a telecommunication company, where I managed a trunk communication system that resembled the cellular wireless system. A year later, I joined a software company to develop CMIS program for China’s Post and Telecommunications Ministry. It was a large project, and I made crucial contribution to it by independently developing and finalizing one subsystem, which proved to be a significant success and won me profuse appreciation from users. After the completion of that project, I have been working for the Japan Brother Ltd. in the area of software development.
The relative smooth path of my career notwithstanding, I have not had a chance to lead a major project, although I have always finished my part of every project immaculately. In spite of all my achievements, I feel that I have not taken the full advantages of my intellectual capabilities. I now wish to pursue still more advanced studies and thereby obtain an advanced degree so that I can open more doors and shoulder greater responsibilities.
I believe I have acquired the necessary theoretical framework and sufficient practical experience for further studies. My ability to teach myself and conduct independent research allows me to attain competence quickly in areas that I may at first know very little about. I never work just to finish an assignment, but instead I always try conscientiously to improve my knowledge and expertise through the work I do. 1.完成选校
完成选校，所要考虑的无非是要思考两点：目标专业和学校。通过前期的了解，相信同学们七月里基本就可以确定下自己的的目标专业和学校了。
这就需要童鞋们在完成选校前，一定确定以下几件事：
同一个专业下，可能有多个Program。每个Program，课程侧重、培养方案有区别，同学一定不要光看名称，就确定是否申请该专业。
一定要进入课程主页，认真阅读课程介绍、培养目标、毕业生去向等信息，仔细阅读、了解后再做决定。确保已经阅读目标专业课程官网，了解课程设置、培养方案等，与自己预想的一致。
务必记录下该专业的招生要求，如本科专业、语言分数等。
确定自己符合目标专业的申请背景基本要求，即工作经历、本科专业背景。(这里说的不是语言成绩，主要指确认该专业对申请者有无工作经历或本科专业限制)了解专业语言要求和往年录取情况，并以此制定语言考试目标分数。(建议同学通过网络查询、咨询往年录取情况，对申请成功率有一个大致的了解)

这一项主要适用于大三的学生。暑假期间，同学可以参加相关实习、参与相关科研项目，提升背景。

在校生在制定申请计划时，一定要结合自身情况，可以参考新学期课程表，在计划时要考虑当月的课余时间，对申请计划进行适当的调整。

文书的写作难度：
英国＞香港＞新加坡
首先英国的学校对于语言的要求是更加的苛刻的，香港和新加坡虽然以前都是英属地，考试成绩和语言要求和英国都是一样的，但是香港和新加坡近些年招收中国学生越来越多的关系，所以在文书的要求上会更加灵活一些不会像英国那么的刻板，再加上也有一定的文化差异。以东方人的思维我说我是一个非常谦虚的人，同为东方文化的香港新加坡的招生老师就可以理解，但是英国的老师可能就理解不了，这就是文化的差异，所以这也是为什么说英国的文书写作难度要更大一些。
香港＞新加坡
这个其实是属于教职工的一些差异，新加坡在我的感受而言老师构成比例相对而言还是华人比较多，在审核方面主要是新加坡人、中国人、马来西亚人。而香港而言就会相对于international一点，有一些来自其他地方文化背景不一样的老师，所以香港的难度要略大于新加坡一些，但是总体来说香港和新加坡的难度相差不大。
文书在申请中的重要程度：
① 我在一开头也提到过绩点和语言成绩都是很硬性的东西，经过3年大家都没有办法改变太多，那么文书就是大家唯一可以去做文章去完善且可以密封翻盘的东西，面试官就可以通过文书大概知道你是一个什么样的人对你感不感兴趣，如果此时和你条件相似的申请者有5个面试官只能选3个去面试，这时候决定你能不能被选择就看你的文书了。
② 学校排名越靠前就会越注重文书，因为这些排名靠前的学校就是想通过你的文书去了解你是怎么看世界的、以及你的思想，这些点让他们觉得非常重要，就像前段时间非常流行一个词叫“小镇做题家”，好的学校是不会喜欢“小镇做题家”这样的学生，而是会更加注重看学生的潜力，所以文书还能体现你的个人特质、课外活动情况和才能，才能也可以是丰富多样化的，例如你会什么运动、你会什么乐器、你有什么特长等，这些都对招生老师来说都是一个闪光点。
③ 最后申请文书不需要严谨的考证，但是你一定要说出自己的故事，写出你自己的版本，唯一特殊是每一篇文书的追求，我们知道其实当前很多留学中介给出的文书都千篇一律，这篇文书在A同学身上可以在B同学身上好像也行，这就是当前市面上很多留学中介以及文书机构存在的一个致命的问题，他们送出去的学生对于学校来说是毫无吸引力的，因为同样的文书他们一天都看到了好几封，甚至会给面试官给学校留下一个不好的印象，学校会认为这些学生都是进行过批量化生产的，很显然也不会选择这样的学生。

1.香港的申请材料要求跟美国有什么不同?
的差别应该是香港的申请不需要写PS，而要求递交一个叫Research Proposal(有时候是Research Interest)的东西， 香港的这个Research Proposal要求你写一个比较明确的研究计划。另外香港对GRE/GMAT的要求比较模糊(稍后详述)。其余的推荐信，成绩单之类的材料要求跟美国差不多的。
2.什么时候是申请的deadline?
香港的deadline一般比较晚的，各个学校不一样，港大main round一般是1月31日。科大各个系不一样 大致都在2月份左右截止，中大大部分院系是2月底截止。城大一般一月底截止，岭南，浸会的申请一般是3月份截止。 理大程序很怪，要求先联系好导师再申请。
