妈妈常说：“书中自有黄金屋”。小时候不懂，便问妈妈：“书中怎们会有黄金屋呢?”妈妈笑了：“长大了你就明白了”。从此，我便对书产生了好奇心。
直到阅读了大量书籍，我才明白妈妈说的话，原来，“书中自有黄金屋”中的“黄金屋”指的不是黄金做的屋子，而是指读书的收获。但是，我觉得把读书的.收获比作黄金屋不恰当，因为读书的收获岂是一个黄金屋就能比得了的?
听妈妈说，小的时候，我最爱听她给我读绘本，也爱自己一遍一遍的翻着看配图，幼儿园时期的《神奇的校车》都被我翻烂了。后来，上了小学，爸爸妈妈带我买了更多我喜欢的书，读《三字经》《安徒生童话》、《一千零一夜》，我学会了很多做人的道理;读《海底两万里》、《鲁滨逊漂流记》，我体验了深海里和野外求生中数不尽的神秘与刺激;读《百科全书》，我了解了世界的千奇百怪，知道了许多科学知识;读《三国演义》、《水浒传》、《上下五千年》，我认识了很多历史人物，还知道了很多有趣的历史故事……后来，我对军事感兴趣，爸爸妈妈又给我订了《军事集结号》，让我了解了各种枪械、战机、*、舰艇，军事新知识也让我应接不暇，开心不已。
除了读书，我很早就已经开始背诵了。幼儿园时，老师让才艺表演，我直接把50多字的《黄鹤楼》一字不差的背下来，老师惊呆了，而大部分的同学还都不知道我背的是什么。上了小学，有一次假期，老师留了一项作业，让背古诗词中的一部分，我直接把古诗词都背会了，还背了一些古文，像《出师表》，《桃花源记》等。到了四年级，爸爸跟我一起背《大学》，现在已经背会了，我和爸爸准备开始背《中庸》。这些阅读背诵过的内容，既开阔了我的视野，又让我得到老师和同学的认可，我越来越有动力继续努力下去。
