one thing my friend didnt understand is that when power is supplied to a generator, it becomes a motor and when mechanical power is applied to a motor, it becomes a generator. during the process of his working on the machine he disconnected the leads to the motor and spun the shaft turning the motor into a generator. disconnecting the leads in effect took the load off the motor, the leads being connected causing the motor not to turn freely. he looked rather perplexed to see the motor shaft spin so freely. for reasons unknown to me, he spun the shaft again and grabbed the wires protruding from the motor. i dont believe i have ever heard quite the string of expletives that this man let fly from his mouth. with his eyes widened he had to slap his hand loose from the wires as the flow of generated electricity locked the grip of his hand.
now this being funny all by itself, it evidently wasnt funny enough for the technician because he spun the motor and grabbed the leads again. another string of expletives that have never been heard previously by man were unleashed unto the world.

小学生学习英语兴趣的调查报告
1. 前言
本人于xx年9月至20_年1月在广东省高州市谭头镇简垌小学实习。简垌小学是一所农村小学，学校比较偏僻的地方，学校创始于1984年。在校担任五年级班主任和五年级语文，并教三、四、五年纪的英语。为了更好的知道学生对英语学习的兴趣，为了更好的教学，俗话说：“知己知彼，百战不殆”，所以在我实习单位进行了英语学习兴趣的调查问卷。
2. 调查目的和方法

随着社会的不断发展，英语学习变得更为广泛和基础，小学课程最基本的目的是激发学生学习兴趣，让学生通过良好的学习方法，培养正确的学习动机和积极向上的学习兴趣。 为了进一步研究小学生对英语学习的兴趣，我特别对自己所执教的三、四、五年级3个班共80名学生进行了调查与分析。
调查方法
问卷调查法：在班主任监督下，发放无记名调查问卷（问卷见附件）。共发放问卷80份，收回60，经检查有效问卷为52。

小学生学习英语的兴趣及关键所在
结果分析：全部学生都喜欢英语，但是学生喜欢英语程度随着年级的增加而递减，体现了三年级学生刚学英语对英语有好奇心。喜欢英语的绝大多数是觉得上英语课有趣，其次是自己的成绩好，有两个同学选其他的学习如建筑一样，要打好基石。学生基础没打好，时间越久就越跟不上，逐渐失去自信心，没有动力学习英语。绝大部分学生学习英语的主要动力是对英语感兴趣，喜欢英语。
对策：从心理学的角度来说，小学生富有很大的好奇心，听觉灵敏，善于模仿，心理障碍较少，他们对一种新语言的学习往往产生强烈浓厚的兴趣。所以人们认为小学阶段是学习语言的最佳时期。然而，从另一个角度来说，小学生的注意力又容易分散，唯有对感兴趣的东西才能集中注意并能持久。而任何实践活动都是人们集中注意才能提高工作效率，学生学习更是如此。常言说得好：兴趣是最好的老师。孔子也曾说：'知之者不如好之者，好之者不如乐之者。'这里的'乐'指的正是'兴趣'。第一，教师在教学过程中要精心设计教案，想方设法以新颖、丰富多彩的教学手段激发学生兴趣，用兴趣来激活他们的思维，唤起他们的学习注意力，进而充分调动学生的学习积极性，让他们积极参与到教学中去，真正成为课堂的主人。第二，学生自信心的缺失，也是会影响学生学习英语的兴趣，因而教师在教学中要帮助学生树立自信心，课堂中多采用鼓励的方式促进学生发展。对学生的评价要及时、要恰到好处、要真诚。第三，由于初学内容比较浅显，难度较小，不少学生对英语充满了好奇心。但随着年纪的上升，与英语接触的时间增长，课程难度的逐渐增大，那种初学的好奇逐渐消退，一些学生感到英语学习成为了一种负担和压力，渐渐失去了学习英语的兴趣，变成了被动的应付，严重的影响了学习效果和学习成绩，进而失去信心，形成了恶性的循环。希望课本内容改为容易点。
小学生学习英语的态度
结果分析：绝大多数学生学习英语的方式是课堂认真听讲，其次课后认真复习，少数课前预习。学生每次学完课文回家听磁带的随年级的增加而递减（尤其体现在五年级没有一个回家听磁带的）。主动寻找机会学习英语（如收听，收看英语节目，读英语书刊）也是随年纪的增加而递减。
对策：学习态度，一般是指学生对学习及其学习情境所表现出来的一种比较稳定的心理倾向。不同的学习态度制约着学习的动力不同，学习的效果不同。培养认真负责的学习态度和习惯，不仅有助于今后进一步学习科学文化知识，而且也是提高数学教学质量的有效途径。
一、帮助学生树立学习信心 教育实践表明，有些学生不良学习态度的产生和形成，往往是由于他们学习中因多次失败和挫折而产生的多次消极情绪体验积累的结果。这些学生，由于他们智力较差，或学习方法不当，或刻苦努力不够，因此考试屡战屡败，深感积重难返，缺乏信心，形成严重的挫折心理。而当他们受挫时，往往又得不到必要的鼓励、指点，受到的却是教师的批评、谴责、奚落的白眼，有的甚至还受到父母的打骂。这样日复一日在他们心理上形 成了“学习即痛苦”的'消极情绪反应。正是由于这种情绪上的原因，他们虽能在认识上懂得学习的重要，但还是有不爱学、不愿学，甚至逃避学习。 要转变上述这些学生的学习态度，教师就要正确对待他们：当他们学习上受挫，考试成绩不佳时，切忌进行谴责和奚落，以防止其消极情绪体验的产生。要帮助他们找出学习失败的原因，指导他们改进学习方法，增强其信心。更重要的是，教师要在教学过程中创造各种情境，使他们在学习上不断获得成功，以产生积极的情绪体验。心理学的研究表明，学生学习成功的次数越多，积极愉快的情绪体验也就越多。这就有助于逐渐消除他们因失败和挫折而产生的消极情绪体验，从而转变其消极的学习态度。
二、改进教学方法，激发学生学习兴趣 “兴趣是最好的老师”，作为一名数学教师光靠说教是不能端正学生的学习态度的，应该在平时的课堂教学中下功夫，用自己的数学素养、人格魅力感染学生，让他们明白在知识面前，只有真理，没有权威。总之教学的改革就是用方法让学生感到学习兴趣。
三、与家长达成共识 在平时的教育教学过程中，在学校举行的家长会上与学生家长进行交流、讨论，就孩子的学习态度问题，达成如下共识：
①家长在家中不当孩子的面，谈论有关对孩子学习不利的话题；尽量不在家中开展娱乐活动，以免分散孩子的注意力；当家庭发生矛盾时，不当孩子的面进行争吵，避免影响孩子的学习情绪等。
②认真倾听孩子的心声，注意与孩子交流的方式方法。高年级学生由于年龄的变化，知识的增加，对待事物的变化有自己独到的见解，尽管他们的认识比较幼稚、肤浅，但家长要耐心听取他们的意见，并采取恰当的方法与他们交流。切不可操之过急，更不可态度粗暴，简单行事，造成孩子跟你无话可说。
③不要采取过分偏激的教育方式。每个孩子都有犯错误的时候，一旦孩子犯了错误，家长应耐心听取孩子的意见，帮助孩子分析犯错误的原因，切不可不问青红皂白胡乱批评一通，更不应该打骂孩子，这样很容易造成孩子的逆反心理，走上极端。
④关注孩子的心理感受。孩子考试成绩不理想，心里一定很难过，这时家长应该关心孩子，千万不要挖苦、讽刺，帮助分析失利的原因，如果是态度不端正造成的，则应进行严厉的批评、教育，必要时请求老师的帮忙。
⑤培养孩子广泛的兴趣爱好。孩子是天真烂漫的，有着充沛的精力，家长应鼓励孩子积极参加一些有意义的活动，对孩子的一些无理要求应当明确拒绝。
小学生对英语老师的看法
结果分析：学生对老师的教学方式也是随着年纪的增加而递减。大部分学生还是认为老师能为自己提升英语水平的，只有几个不这么认为。大多数学生认为老师的的教学效果是满意，十几个学生认为一般的，两个学生认为不满意的。
对策：大部分学生还是认为老师能为自己提升英语水平的，所以我们做老师的更不可能放弃他们。所以教师从教的最高境界：学生佩服，学生敬仰，学生喜爱。
（1）学生佩服的是教师的学识和水平，能让他们的学习有收获感。这里体现老师的教学方法。
（2）学生敬仰的一定是教师的人品。这里最重要体现老师对学生的态度和方法。
（3）学生喜爱的则应该是教师个性与性格为基础的，开朗，活泼，幽默，智慧，这些都孩子们喜爱的教师的表现。我认为，要让学生喜爱自己，我们有一个重要的法宝，就是首先喜爱学生。真正地喜爱他们，从心底里喜爱他们，这也是教师做好教育工作的原动力，加上教师的责任感，我们就一定能把学生的问题放在比较正确的处理的位置上，其中辅佐我们做好
教育教学工作的，就是教育教学的规律和策略。
5. 调查结果的启发
经过此次调查、分析，我发现小学生英语学习的兴趣不仅与本身有关，还与教师的本身素质有关。因而作为一名英语教师，不仅要掌握好专业知识，还要努力提高各个方面的才能。在教学中，要以学生为主体，一切活动的设计都要为了学生的发展。多关注学生，帮助学生树立自信心。培养学生学习英语的兴趣，最终转化为稳定的学习动机。最终促进学生全面发展。当然，培养学生良好心理素质并不是一朝一夕能够完成的，只有从小注重对他们进行心理健康教育，给他们创造一个良好的心理环境，才能有利于学生的心理健康，才能为社会造就全面合格的人才。
